Metformin 500mg (SR), Glimepride 2mg And Voglibose 0.2mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is mostly prescribed when single or double dosage therapy along with diet and sugar is not sufficient.  For better results it’s recommended to take the medication everyday as prescribed by the doctor.

The medication may cause some mild side effects such as upset stomach, mild diarrhea or temporary low blood sugar; these side effects usually go away in a few days. But if you experience any serious side effects of the medication such as severe confusion, extreme sleepiness or yellowing of the eyes or skin you must consult with your doctor immediately. Make sure you are not allergic to the medication or any of its ingredients.

How the Medication Works

Metformin 500mg (SR), Glimepride 2mg And Voglibose 0.2mg Tablet is the combination of three antidiabetic medicines. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin. Glimepride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, helping lower blood sugar levels. Voglibose slows carbohydrate digestion and sugar absorption in the intestines, helping control blood sugar levels after meals.

By lowering sugar level throughout the day and lowering excess glucose production by the liver it reduces the risk of long-term diabetic complications, such as nerve damage, kidney disease, vision problems, and cardiovascular complications.
